One of the best Italians in Houston. Big and nice space - inside and outside. Service is very attentive and friendly. Every dish i ordered here over my last 3 visits was top notch! Highly recommend their soups, thin crust pizza and basically all pastas. As I said, nothing from the menu I wouldn’t recommend!
It’s frustrating, remembering how good the pizza was in their first year, to experience such a dense, tough pizza these years later. I’d avoid it. Proof that using bottled Italian spring water is irrelevant if the dough is not handled well. Just a bad pizza. A dead crust. Dough with no air bubbles. No gelatinization. Their hydration appears to be off. Not that anyone seems to notice. You see, with pizza dough, unlike in Mexico where the standard is to beat out every last bubble of air, pizza dough should be handled gently. Hands at ten and two. And you just push down and out. Don’t over touch the pizza dough. It’s about the amount of pressure. Like a pat on the back or a high five. Assertive but not assistive. But that was the only mis-step. The crunchy fritto misto was damn good. And…Already dreaming of when I can have it again. The pasta options were spot on.
Decided to eat here just for the cottan candy my wife had seen on the reviews. It was a perfect day to eat outside. Im not much of a fan for Italian but everything was delicious. The mozzarella was perfect and the cheese pull was epic. Cotton candy caught me off guard with the sparklers but my daughter loved it. Ended the meal with a tasty cappuccino.
It's always a treat when service is great, food is amazing, drinks are on point, and dessert really is the cherry on top. This place was 5 stars all around. I was initially a bit discouraged with the fact that the menu sounded too "bougie". But I was wrong. Just a bunch of good food with good ingredients AND freshly grated parmesan with your dishes. One thing I really enjoyed is that our water glasses were NEVER empty. Not once did we have to wave down a server, they were always checking in, but not too much, you know? And the dessert special? Chef's kiss. Flounder dish of the week? Chef's kiss. My picatta or something with capers? Chef's kiss. Pizza? Same. Can't recommend enough. We had 2 alcoholic drinks, a meat pizza, 2 dinner entrees, one dessert, and 2 coffees. Our total was roughly $175 (without tip of course). Well worth every penny.
Absolutely wonderful experience! The restaurant was beautiful, the staff welcoming, and the food absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh and served promptly. Our server, Maria, was exceptional—kind, attentive, and thoughtful with her recommendations. I’ll definitely be returning and sharing with friends and family just how amazing this place is!
Update: 5/17/25 Back again with another crew to try even more dishes! We pretty much ordered the whole menu to see what we liked, and everything was delicious. Their pastas were seriously the best! The meatballs were also a hit, and we're already planning our next wine night here! - If you're looking for great outdoor dining, this place is a must-try! We had the Italian sausage pizza and pasta, and both were super tasty. Plus, they brought out bread and butter while we waited, which was a nice touch. It was busy but not packed, and we had a great time. We'll definitely be back to try more!
Can’t say enough great things about this place. The location and vibe are awesome. Have a lot of indoor seating and some outdoor. The staff was amazing. Huge shoutout to Ian for making my dad’s birthday special! Food was delicious! We all liked the fried mozzarella, funghi pizza, casarecce toscano, and Veal Milanese Piccata. The complimentary bread and butter were greatly appreciated. Would skip on the Fritto Misto. The tortino and hazelnut chocolate cake were lovely! Highly recommend Copps Osteria!
Absolutely outstanding Italian restaurant in Houston! The Pappardelle al Funghi is a must-try, truly mind-blowing. Every dish we ordered was flavorful, fresh, and over-the-top delicious. Highly recommend!
